NC Zoo

Sometime in October we went to the zoo.  James really enjoyed it but it was a lot of walking and his legs don't go very far very fast so we couldn't really see the whole thing but he was happy with what he got to see!

He really liked the geyser.  He still talks about geysers whenever he sees a fountain!

Pumkin Carving

I wanted James to be able to help carve the pumpkin this year so he got to use his felt pumpkin to decide on the shapes for the eyes, nose, and mouth that Daddy would carve.  Lee wasn't excited about the boringness of the shapes he chose and the curves that he was going to have to carve but he went along with our plan.  Here's the plan:

Scooping out the "guts"

Drawing on the face

The finished product (with a little extra creativity from Daddy)

October-Pumpkins

I didn't do a great job of taking pictures of our pumpkin activities and all that we learned but here is an idea of some of the things we did at the end of October.

Pumpkin Patch

I'm so far behind on this now...I don't know if I will ever be able to catch up but I am going to try to at least fill in the gaps with some pictures we have and then try to keep up with it better.  At least for the next few months!......

Fall KCWC 2012-Day 7

Today I made the other tutu for the costumes I am making for girls at church.

I also made a new bib for James using this tutorial and pattern.  James ate snack using this bib before I had a chance to take a picture of it so it is wet where he spilled yogurt but it worked well so I may need to make some more!

Fall KCWC 2012-Day 6

Today I did a couple of random projects.  First I mended a few of James' hand-me-down clothes that had holes or I had to modify a little bit.

I am also making Halloween costumes for two cute little girls at church so the first tutu was completed today.

Fall KCWC 2012-Day 5

We have a friend who is adopting their second child.  I decided that their oldest needed a Big Brother shirt.  That was my project for today.  I freezer paper stenciled the letters on.
